Why Locals Love La Superb
Nestled in the heart of Beaune at 15 Rue d'Alsace, La Superb is a gem for lovers of authentic French cuisine. This intimate restaurant offers a truly memorable dining experience that expertly balances tradition and creativity. Despite its modest size—with just about 20 to 25 cozy seats—La Superb invites you into a warm, welcoming atmosphere where comfort and privacy are thoughtfully maintained.
The culinary artistry here is unmistakable. Run by a sole chef whose instincts guide every perfectly timed dish rather than a stopwatch, the kitchen hums quietly as each plate arrives like a masterpiece. Diners repeatedly praise signature specialties such as the exquisitely tender mussels, celebrated for their flawless taste and doneness, as well as dishes that showcase the fresh, vibrant produce of the region. For instance, the ripe cherry tomatoes paired with burrata basil whipped cream entice the palate with bright, luscious notes, while the delicate salmon with lemon curd captivates with its harmonious balance of flavors.
The final flourish to your meal might be the heavenly pavlova adorned with raspberry coulis, a dessert that encapsulates La Superb's dedication to finesse and taste. It's not just the food that charms but also the thoughtful wine pairings recommended by the attentive staff that enhance each course, making your meal not just dinner but an exquisite voyage through French cuisine and Beaune’s revered wine culture.
Guests from all over the world, whether on wine pilgrimages or casual tours, have expressed delight in their encounters here. Many leave glowing testimonials about the humble and kind service that makes you feel more like a cherished guest than a mere customer.
Whether you happen upon La Superb by chance during a Beaune stroll or make a well-planned reservation, it promises an exceptional and intimate taste of France, delivered with passion, precision, and heart.

Great meal! Thoughtful flavors and well executed dishes, would certainly recommend while in Beaune.

Excellent dining experience. We were on a tour and stopped at Beaune for a lunch break. We are lucky as we did not make reservation. The restaurant is small, probably 20 - 25 seats but cozy and enough privacy between table/ counter. The wine recommendation is also fanstatic!

The (lone) chef is a true artist! Had the accidental pleasure of sitting at the chefs table, where it was visible how the chef prepared by himself all perfectly cooked meals, all by instinct using no timers. All dishes were a masterpiece, but the mussels were the best ever in terms of taste and doneness.

LaSuperB provided us with an exceptional dining experience. From the ripe cherry tomatoes with burrata basil whipped cream to the delightful salmon with lemon curd, and the heavenly pavlova with raspberry coulis, each dish was a testament to their culinary prowess. The evening marked the opening of our wine pilgrimage, and LaSuperB graciously invited us to savor the meal in communal harmony. The act of enjoying food as a spiritual practice was truly embraced here. We were captivated by the inviting atmosphere and would wholeheartedly recommend LaSuperB to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. Leaving a positive Google review is a small gesture to express our gratitude for their culinary excellence!

Easily one of the best meals we’ve had in France. The foie gras was the best we’ve ever had, the Dorado was light and delicious with the chorizo and the experience of watching the chef prepare everything in front of us was an added touch of fun. We may not speak the language but they spoke to us through the food.

To bad google does not allow half star ratings. For sure a 4.5! Excellent food, great chef. Nice little gem! And beautiful wines! Enjoyed it very much, I loved the boudin noir, keep it up!

This was such a fantastic dining experience and I would highly recommend you don't miss this place. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance and were not disappointed. The best seat in the house was at the counter where we got to witness the chef in action. He is a true master and the technique and flair with which he cooked were so fun to watch. You definitely should make reservations as you don't want to miss this experience. I would try to get a seat where you can watch the chef. The wine list was amazing and the selection of food was perfect. Be ready when you enter the restaurant as you might be treated to an amuse-bouche as we were and it was amazing. It was something like liquid parmesan cheese and just exploded with incredible flavors in your mouth. The lady who I believe was his wife was so helpful in assisting us in selecting our meal along with some wine selections. There was also a younger gentleman who was very attentive and had excellent input on our selections and wine choices as well so the combination was perfect. It was the best way to experience a true French meal from an incredible chef.
